CPR Engine Oil and Levels (including GX160/200 / Clone)

6.5hp & 10hp (CPR, GX160, GX200 & clone)

- 10W / 30 automotive oil

*DO NOT USE FULLY SYNTHETIC OIL. FULL SYNTHETIC OILS WILL CAUSE RAPID PREMATURE WEAR - ESPECIALLY ON MODIFIED ENGINES.

Some people report best results with higher percentage mineral based (castor) oils. Genuine Honda performance oil for power equipment is the best solution for engines including modified engines and will provide the longest conrod big-end life. When in doubt, choose an oil with a high Mineral content or Genuine Honda Performane oil.

FOR 15degree MOUNTS
- It is fine (and some consider it optimal) to run a higher oil level. All the way up to the rear oil plug is acceptable. Drain from the front plug, refill to the top of the rear plug as an easy reference point. In this case the oil used would be approximately 700ml.
